Statement From The College Park Skyhawks On The 2020-21 Season

By College Park Skyhawks Staff /January 12, 2021

ORGANIZATIONAL STATEMENT:

After much consideration, we have elected to make the difficult decision to forgo participating in the 2020-21 NBA G League season.

The College Park Skyhawks, and the G League at large, are committed to the on-court growth and development of prospects as they aim to reach the highest level of professional basketball, the National Basketball Association. We are fortunate to have two players, Nathan Knight and Skylar Mays, on two-way contracts with the Atlanta Hawks, already making a tangible impact with our parent club. Given the challenges of this unique season, Nate and Skylar are able spend the entire season with Atlanta and gain valuable experience while contributing to the success of the Hawks.

We are excited about the future of our franchise and remain devoted to putting the best possible product on the floor for our supporters in College Park.

In this moment, we are as appreciative of our fans as we’ve ever been. You’ve been with us every step of the way and we look forward to seeing you all again when the time is right.
