Coach Gansey:
Q: What inspired you to become a coach? I'm sure after your days of playing you must have had a desire to rest, but how did you decide to become a coach?

A: Well, you know, I played in high school. I was fortunate to play at the Division I level and Division II level and just love the camaraderie of being on a team and the togetherness. Those are some of the best memories that I've ever had with my teammates and coaches and I've always wanted to just continue to be around basketball.

I wasn't good enough to go to that next level. But, I felt like my passion was still there with it and trying to just help guys getting better basketball situations. I love everything about this league and the opportunity it presents for itself and just trying to get better.

Personally, trying to get these guys, better in basketball situations so they can continue to grow. Grow their game and grow their life too, it's just a privilege to work with these guys on a daily basis and try to get them better.

What is your favorite movie?
Jared Rhoden: Inception

Langston Galloway: Space Jam 1

Giorgi Bezhanishvili: Dark Knight

Armoni Brooks: Pursuit of Happiness

Tyson Etienne: Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Coach Alexander:
Q: How does your NBA experience benefit you coaching today’s up and coming NBA players in the G League?

A: I'm familiar with the grind. I understand the ins and outs of how the league works in terms of not just how you prepare on the court, but off the court as well. I'm big on trying to share, even be vulnerable with some of the mistakes that I made a long way to help prevent these guys from making the same mistakes.

So I look at coaching very, very differently. Whatever I can share from my experiences, good or bad, I try to share with them.

Q: And then do you have any advice for prospective players? Any up and coming players?

A: Run the whole race, you know. It's amazing in this sport, like some guys get started out quickly, like I was a lottery pick and because of poor attitude, I was out of the league in five years. Once I was out of league, I watched guys who were drafted way way behind me, I started watching them from home. So it's a very interesting thing. So run the whole race. You work hard, Stay true to your craft, keep God first and anything can happen.
