College Park Skyhawks Announce 2023-24 Season Schedule

 

Includes Seven Weekend Theme Nights and One Game Against NBA G League Ignite

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. – On Tuesday, the College Park Skyhawks unveiled its 50-game schedule for 2023-24 campaign, the team’s fourth season in the NBA G League. The Skyhawks schedule will open with a weekend series on the road against Raptors 905, NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, on Sunday, November 12 at 2 p.m., followed by a rematch on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. College Park’s home opener will take place on Saturday, November 18 against the Capital City Go-Go, with a rematch the following day. Saturday’s and Sunday’s games will tip-off at 6 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

All 24 Skyhawks home games will be broadcast locally on Peachtree TV (WPCH-TV).

The Skyhawks will welcome NBA G League Ignite to College Park on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m., marking the third consecutive year that Ignite will travel to the Southside. In addition, every Sunday home game will be a “Kids Day” game, which will include activities and programming geared towards kids.

The Skyhawks will enter the season led by new Head Coach Ryan Schmidt and new General Manager Daniel Starkman, who were announced as the team’s third head coach and general manager on Aug. 18.

“The day the schedule becomes official is always one of my favorite days of the year,” said Janice Koon, Vice President of G League and 2K League Operations with the Atlanta Hawks. “It reminds me that great basketball at Gateway Center Arena in front of our amazing fans is just around the corner, and I am so excited to get back there.”

Following the same format as the previous two seasons, the NBA G League will crown two champions at separate points this year to complement the fluidity of rosters and fluctuation of players during the season. The NBA G League season

will consist of two parts: an 16-game Showcase Cup to begin the season, culminating in an eight-team tournament held in Orlando in December; and a 34-game regular season in advance of the traditional NBA G League Playoffs.
