COLLEGE PARK, GA – The College Park Skyhawks, the official G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, announced the team’s roster for training camp today. Camp opened league-wide on Monday, Oct. 28 and the Skyhawks will hold their first official practice today, Oct. 29. Sixteen players will be competing for an opening night roster position, when the Skyhawks take on the BayHawks in Erie on Nov. 8.
The roster includes first-round picks in the 2019 G League Draft, Cameron Lard (11thoverall) and Ronshad Shabazz (13thoverall). Two-way players Charlie Brown, Jr. and Brandon Goodwin will participate in training camp, along with affiliate players Armoni Brooks, Marcus Derrickson, Kenny Gabriel and Mark Ogden, Jr.
Phil Cofer (Florida State), Jalyn Patterson (Texas Southern), and Mawdo Sallah (Radford) were invited to training camp after attending the team’s only local tryout in September. Anthony “Cat” Barber, Sanjay Lumpkin, AJ Mosby, and Jordan Sibert come to training camp as returnees from the Erie BayHawks’ 2018-19 team. Tahjere McCall’s player rights were acquired via trade in September.
Training camp practices are closed to the public. Media interested in attending should arrive at State Farm Arena’s practice court 15 minutes prior to practice ending for media availability with Head Coach Noel Gillespie and players. Media should RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Skyhawks tip off the season on Nov. 8, taking on the Erie BayHawks on the road. College Park takes its home court for the first time on Nov. 21 against the Delaware Blue Coats.
